Dental donations for Huddersfield and Halifax hospices

Genix Healthcare is delighted to present Kirkwood Hospice in Huddersfield and Overgate Hospice in Elland with £857 each.
When Genix Healthcare opened its GENCARE Dental Clinic in the prestigious Britannia Buildings in Huddersfield, it pledged to give £1 for every new appointment in September to each hospice, in addition to the £500 it presented to each of them at the practice’s opening event.
Kirkwood Hospice in Dalton, Huddersfield, provides specialist care for people in Kirklees facing life-threatening illnesses, and also offers support to families, friends and carers of patients. The organisation needs £9,000 a day to carry out its work, 80% of which is raised from voluntary sources, and Genix Healthcare’s donation will contribute towards this.
Overgate Hospice in Elland, Halifax, provides specialist palliative care for adults in the Calderdale area with life-threatening, advanced, progressive illnesses. Each bed at the hospice costs around £330 per day, including nursing care: the money raised by GENCARE Dental Clinic will contribute towards this and the hospice’s bereavement counselling service.
Since opening at the end of August 2007, GENCARE Dental Clinic has attracted over 2,000 patients looking for an affordable alternative to NHS dentistry.
Genix Healthcare invested £300,000 in creating its state-of-the-art practice in the grade 2 buildings that were formerly the headquarters of Yorkshire Building Society. The clinic offers four dental surgery rooms, a sterilisation room, a recovery room, x-ray facilities and a modern reception area.
The GENCARE pay-as-you-go pricing scheme is the first system of its kind and is exclusive to Genix Healthcare. With no monthly fee, GENCARE follows the NHS pricing band structure and is comparable to the cost of NHS treatment; effectively, patients get the benefit of private dental treatment without paying private prices – a blessing for those struggling to find an NHS dentist.

Its competitively priced cosmetic dentistry services range from tooth whitening, to professional AIR-FLOW cleaning, porcelain veneers and dental implants.
