Genix Healthcare gives FREE smile advice for all
17 May 2008
As part of National Smile Month (18th May to 17th June 2008), Genix Healthcare is offering free smile advice, covering all aspects of dentistry, at its dental clinics across Yorkshire and the North East. Anyone can attend, whether or not they’re currently a patient, which is particularly good news for anyone who is struggling to get an NHS dentist. Topics on which people can consult Genix Healthcare include routine dental care, dental problems and cosmetic dentistry.
Genix Healthcare is also running a children’s initiative during the month. Children will be invited to produce a poster showing the best ways of looking after their teeth and be in for a chance to win Woolworths vouchers.
Katrina Hardy, operations director at Genix Healthcare says, “We’re aware that many people don’t visit the dentist because they can’t get access to an NHS dentist and, or, they are concerned about the cost. We saw National Smile Month as a great opportunity to open up our services and give people free advice which, in the long-term, could be the difference between losing teeth and keeping them! We’re also using the month to reach out to children, encouraging them to take care of their teeth and see a visit to the dentist as a fun experience.”
The Leeds-based company has been filling the gap between NHS and private dentistry since 2005, and cares for the teeth of approximately 85,000 NHS patients, reducing the waiting list for NHS dentists by several thousands.
As well as welcoming NHS patients, where capacity allows, Genix Healthcare also offers GENCARE at its thirteen clinics. Exclusive to Genix Healthcare, the GENCARE pay-as-you-go pricing scheme is the first of its kind and is exclusive to Genix Healthcare. With no monthly fee, GENCARE follows the NHS pricing band structure and is comparable to the cost of NHS treatment; effectively, patients get the benefit of private dental treatment without paying private prices.
Genix Healthcare offers some of the UKs most state-of-the-art NHS clinics and provide a full range of cosmetic dental treatments, including tooth whitening, professional AIR-FLOW cleaning, porcelain veneers, crowns and dentures, plus a Fresh Breath Clinic and wrinkle reduction treatments.
